Blagoja “Balje Barak” Stojanoski, age 74, of Clinton Township, Michigan, passed away on Thursday May 8, 2025. Blagoja was born on March 28, 1951 in Vratnica, Macedonia to the late Bogoja and late Menka Stojanoski. Dearest brother of Blagica (Ljupco) Smiljanovski and the late Todor Stojanoski. Beloved husband of Srebra (nee: Gavrilovska) for 53 years. Loving father of the late Silvana (Zorancho) Stojchev, Snezana (James) Johnson, Bogoja (Kristina) Stojanoski and Bogoljub (Jill) Stojanoski. Proud and loving Dedo of his grandchildren Angelina, Nadija, Ivona, Nikolas, Alexander, Marko, Adriana, James, William, Jaxson, and Zachary. Blagoja was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Silvana, his grandson Marko, brother, Todor, and his parents, Bogoja and Menka.
Blagoja was always the life of the party, with his sense of humor, smile, and bubbly personality. Blagoja and his wife came to the United States in 1973 to start their own journey. In 1974, he began working in the bakery business, which led to him opening his own family operated bakery in 1980. Blagoja retired in 2017 to spend more time with his family. Blagoja enjoyed nature, going to the beach, spending time with his family, and playing cards with his wife and grandchildren. In the summers, he enjoyed visiting his homeland and reconnecting with his loved ones. He was a fighter, who bravely fought cancer for four years with resilience and grace. He leaves behind his beloved wife, daughter, two sons, grandchildren, and sister, as well as a multitude of family and friends who were blessed to know him. Though he may be physically gone, his spirit of love and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
The family will greet guests from 3:00pm until 8:00pm, with a 7:00pm Poman on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Kaul Funeral Home - 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Twp, MI. Prayers at the funeral home will begin at 9:00am on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Kaul Funeral Home followed by an instate at St. Petka Vratnica Serbian Orthodox Church - 1755 E. Wattles Rd, Troy, MI. Funeral Liturgy at church at 11:00am. Interment following at Resurrection Cemetery - Clinton Twp.
