Bobby Joe Rowland Sr.

Bobby shared 65 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Winifred “Wendy” Rowland (Robb), who preceded him in death. Their enduring life together was at the heart of the family they built and cherished.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bobby’s greatest legacy is the family he loved so deeply.

He was the proud father of four children: Terri Lynn Ballard (Rowland) and her husband, William Ballard, who preceded him in death; Bobby Joe Rowland Jr. and his wife, Marilyn Rowland; Lauri Ann Rowland; and Melissa Ellen Janisch (Rowland) and her husband, Jeffrey Janisch.

He was a loving grandfather to twelve grandchildren: Rebecca Craze (Ballard) and her husband, Jacob Craze; Abbigail Brindley (Ballard) and her husband, Curtis Brindley; Malauri Rowland; Kaylynn Azar; Mitchell Young; Jillian Young; Emily Dipanni (Rowland) and her husband, Tony Dipanni; Libby Rowland; Jesse Rowland; Lindsey Rowland; Luke Janisch; and Lily Young (Janisch) and her husband, Christopher Young.

He was also the cherished great-grandfather of Nova, Arlo, Ella, and Leo, with a fifth great-grandchild, Baby Young, soon to join the family.

Bobby was a carpenter by trade, but that description alone could never capture the depth of his talent. He was a true craftsman whose skill and imagination brought remarkable creations to life. He found great joy in woodworking and especially loved carving pieces of all kinds, including the distinctive carvings he placed on walking sticks. The things he made amazed others, but those who loved him will remember even more the care, patience, and heart he placed into every creation. His craftsmanship—and the love he shared with his family—will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
