Brenda was born and raised in Michigan, a place that shaped the strong, vibrant woman so many were blessed to know and love. She had a one-of-a-kind personality—funny, sarcastic, and incredibly witty—able to make people laugh even on their hardest days. Beyond her humor was a deeply caring and loyal soul, someone who showed up for the people she loved.
She began her career in medical billing, but her heart eventually led her to something more personal—becoming a caregiver with Macomb Residential Opportunities. In that role, Brenda gave so much of herself. She didn’t just care for people—she connected with them, comforted them, and made them feel seen and valued.
Brenda found joy in life’s simple pleasures. In her younger years, she loved crafting and made many treasured trips to the Gibraltar Trade Center, always on the hunt for her next project. She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, and spending hours talking, laughing, and yes—gossiping—with her sister, moments that will now be cherished forever.
She loved to unwind by binge-watching her favorite shows, especially Forged in Fire, along with any and all cheesy Christmas movies. Brenda also had a love for adventure—traveling, camping, and especially spending time at the beach, where she could relax and just be at peace. Above all else, Brenda’s greatest love was her family. They were her world. Brenda will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always carried in the hearts of those who loved her.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Hansen; children, David Lalone, Jason Lalone, Kathleen Makara; grandchildren, Jordan, Jaxson, Dylan, Riley, Naomi; her sister, Coleen Dwojakowski; nephew John Dwojakowski; and niece, Corby Dwojakowski.
Visitation will be held at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035, on April 4, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
