Beloved husband for 40 Years to Clare Reetz (Foody); Cherished father to Adrian (Eric) Reetz and Michael (Chelsey) Reetz; Loving Grandfather (AKA Spanky) to Pauly Genaw III and Casey Reetz
A graduate of Bishop Gallagher High School, class of 1975 - He was a dedicated worker at the family landscaping business (Reetz Landscaping) throughout his youth and for several more years after high school. He eventually became the Operations Manager and then General Manager of Eastland and Northland Mall and then Project Manager for Jones Lang LaSalle where he remained working till his passing.
His true devotion, however, was to his family and friends. He loved unconditionally and was always offering to help others (from lawn/landscaping projects, St. Veronica fish fries, his workings with Sons of Amvets, to helping with family reunions and setting up the firepit for reunion weekend and corn roasts). "Big B" was well-known for his quick wit and fun stories that often-had listeners in tears from laughter. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling during the off season.
Brent came from a large "baby boomer" family of 8 children. On top of numerous siblings, he had a large number of cousins from the West Branch and Prescott area and spent many a day with his cousins working the family farm (and having many good times as well). So many of his childhood friends remain close friends today. He genuinely loved life and lived it to its fullest - he loved golfing with his brothers and friends and was in a weekly league, he has been an avid Lions fan through the many bad and good years, and most importantly, he understood the importance of gathering with family and friends and the value of celebration of life itself (with food and lots of Bud Light of course)! So often referred to as "the funnest guy in the room" his fun-loving stories, quick wit, and sense of joy will be dearly missed.
