Brian Joseph Griebe, a beloved husband, father, papa, and friend, passed away on July 10, 2024 at the age of 67. Brian was the loving husband of Sandra Martz-Griebe for 32 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, joy, and countless memories. He was the devoted father of Samantha (Jeremy Dalton) Griebe and Adam (wife Allison and children Emma, Logan, and Ava) Hudak, and the dear Papa of Liam. Brian was the cherished brother of the late Richard (Linda) Griebe, Joyce (the late David) Swinyer, David (Donna) Griebe, the late Greg Griebe, and Julie (Wayne) Gadzinski. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Richard Griebe.
Brian was known for his hard work and dedication, taking immense pride in everything he did. Whether he was tinkering around the home or working on a project, he always put his heart and soul into it. His focus was always on family and friends, and he cherished the family outings they shared together. He enjoyed hanging out, having a Christian Brothers, and playing some Keno with all his friends at The Rusty Nail. Brian had a remarkable talent for music. In his younger years, he spent many years in the choir and played the trumpet. As he grew older, he enjoyed performing in community theater and his passion for music led him to become the singer of a band. His great dance moves and infectious energy brought joy to everyone around him. Brian will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, music, and dedication to family will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A memorial gathering for Brian will be held Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A rosary will be said at 7:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will take place on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 9:30 am at St Michael's Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road in Sterling Heights.
