Carmella Marie Marzolf, age 80, passed away December 29, surrounded by family in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She was born April 17, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Frank & Pauline (Nicolazzo) Pascaretti.
Carmella grew up in Detroit, and loved her Italian heritage. She worked for Roseville Community Schools for 30+ years. Carmella volunteered at McLaren Macomb for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, baking, making her secret meatball recipe and going on casino bus trips with friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Mike) May and Karen Marzolf; a grandson, Michael G. May; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Marzolf; a son-in-law, Douglas Clark; granddaughter, Sarah Louise May; and all of her brothers and sister-in-laws.
A memorial mass for Carmella will be held Saturday, January 5, at Noon with an instate from 11:30am until the service at St. Paul of Tarsus, 41300 Romeo Plank Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48038. Inurnment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Carmella’s memory to McLaren Hospice.
