Carolyn M. Reidel

Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald Reidel. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Vivian and LaVerne.

Loving mother to Lynn (Robert) Ess, Anne (Jerome) Dunseith, Lori (Timothy) McDerby; proud gramma of Nicole (John), Ryan (Julie), Sean (Jesse), Tara, Lauren, Kristen, Paige, Erin (Sam), Kelly, and Bridget, and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Nicholas. She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley, Mickey, Delores, Judy, Sue, and Bruce; and many nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and returned for summer vacations with her husband every year. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University. Carolyn loved being a registered nurse, and was very proud of her profession. She retired after many years of service at St. John Hospital. Carolyn was very active in her church, St. Isidore, where she was a parish nurse for several years. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family.

A Visitation will take place Thursday, June 30 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home; 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place Friday, July 1 at 10:00 am, with an Instate period at 9:30 am at St. Isidore Catholic Community; 18201 23 Mile Road, Macomb, MI 48042.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn's memory to the Alzheimer's Association - Greater Michigan Chapter; 25200 Telegraph Road, Suite 100, Southfield, MI 48033.
