Charles Alfred Guimond died peacefully on January 5th, 2025 at age 83. He is survived by his children, Michael Guimond, Annette Struble (married to Jeff Struble), and Ty Guimond. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Keith Struble, Emily Powell (married to Christopher Powell), and Juliet Struble. Charles was a devoted, loving husband of 54 years to his wife, Joyce, who passed away in 2020.
Charles loved fishing, telling stories, and watching movies involving aliens. His boat, "Fish Killer" was legendary in the neighborhood throughout the 1980s and 90s. He mesmerized us with humorous storytelling, especially his classic about the high school scavenger hunt with the girl he liked who came from "far, far away." His laughter was infectious, and he loved to make us laugh.
We, his children and grandchildren, were very lucky to have such a good man for a dad and grandpa. He spoiled us with his goodness. We honor him by remembering his goodness. We honor him by living on as well as we can, and by being good ourselves.
A memorial visitation for Charles will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035, followed by a memorial services at 5:30 PM.
