Charles "Chuck" Popovich Jr.

Charles “Chuck” Popovich Jr, age 82, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away on August 20, 2023. Chuck was beloved husband of Alice Popovich; Loving father of Rebecca Popovich (Christopher Weissert) and David Popovich (Tracy); Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth and Angela.

Chuck was definitely a “man’s man”. He enjoyed being outdoors, was an avid sportsman and maintained a cabin in Newberry, Michigan for some time in his younger years, where he hunted and tracked and observed animals. Eagles were his favorite to watch in the sky. He was also an animal lover and enjoyed caring for his own cats and dogs over the years. Chuck was a handyman and mechanically inclined, and could fix almost anything around the house and in the garage. John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies were also something that Chuck particularly appreciated as entertainment, as well as watching air shows at Selfridge. He was kind and generous, and spent time helping friends and neighbors. Chuck will be greatly missed.

Services are under the direction of Resurrection Funeral Home in Clinton Township, Michigan, and will be held privately.
