He was born on June 5, 1955 in Wyandotte, Michigan. He graduated from Schoolcraft College as a reserve police officer and later retired as a manager at Randazzo Market. Deeply committed to his faith, he loved Jesus and poured himself into church life and missions work where is steady presence and gentle humor drew people of all ages- especially youth.
Chuck had a way of making friends everywhere he went. His hugs and kisses were legendary, and his easy conversation could turn a stranger into a friend. He loved the water, taking cruises, fishing from his boat, and caring for the animals in his backyard.
Known for quiet selflessness and a patient ear, Chuck lived his faith through service; mentoring young people, volunteering without fanfare, and stepping in whenever needed. Those who knew him remember the small moments, an encouraging word, stories from mission trips and the warmth he brought to every gathering. Chuck will be truly missed by so many.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sherrie Pezzillo Rockwell; son, Adam (Amy) Rockwell; daughter, Chelsea Rockwell; father figure to Brandon (Megan) Ancell; granddaughters: Ally, Kali, and Jadyn; grandsons: Hunter and Bennett; mother-in-law, Angela Pezzillo; brother, Richard (Angie) Rockwell; sister, Carol (Phil) Pfeil; brother-in law and sister-in-law, Joseph (Lynn) Pezzillo; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
