Beloved husband of Lois Stout; dear father of Linda (the late Joe) Stamat, Lori Stout, Cheri (Joe) Lopez, Cathy (Mike) Kane, Chuck (Pam) Stout, and Christine (Glenn) Dantes; cherished grandfather of Nick (Amanda), Joe, Daria (Scott), Marina, Matthew, Amy, Nathan, Amanda, and the late Emily; and loving great-grandfather of Cathryn.
Charles was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Commanders General Staff College in 1971. He retired from the United States Army Reserves as a Full Bird Colonel. During his service he was awarded the following medals: Korean Service Medal, South Korea Medal, Armed Forces Reserved Artillery Medal, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal Meritorious Service, U.S. Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Medal of National Defense, Army Reserve Medal, Expert Marksmanship Rifle Grenade, Field Artillery Medal, and Full Bird Colonel Medal.
Charles retired as the Director of Administration for Chrysler Defense / General Dynamic after 30+ years.
A visitation for Charles will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
