For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and gently melt into the sun? And when the Earth shall claim your limbs, then you shall truly dance.

I think Chuck is out sailing right now, boat leaned over, wind at his back, spray in his face heading for a distant shore. I hope he saves a spot for all of us for when he gets there.

Truly an end of era.

Sincere condolences to Pete and the Ternes family. Chuck was a favorite photographer and companion on many GM assignments. It was my pleasure to be a friend and colleague of such a fine professional and gentleman.

Peter I want you to know how sad I am to hear of your loss. Although it has been many moons since I have had the opportunity to see you and your family, I have such fond memories of being in your home and being surrounded by so much love from your parents. Praying that each day will become easier to face. God bless you and your family.

We are so sad to hear of the death of Chuck. As a child, I always remembered him as a very kind person. And, of course, he was very talented as well. He took photos at our wedding and he will always be remembered with love by us. Richard would run into him at gigs sometimes. Thank you, Chuck, for being the person you were. Rest in peace.
