Charles W. Young Jr.

Charles W. Young Jr. passed away on January 28, 2023 at the age of 74. He was the loving husband of Rowena for 12 years. The caring dad of Cheri (Bryan) St. Onge and Ian Kenneth (Diana) De Asis. The cherished grandfather of Chelsea, Sarah, Jacquelyn, and Samantha. The great grandfather of Isaac, Avery, and Jaxon. He was the dear brother of Janet (Ken) Lerdahl, Maria (Dan) Bean, and Roger (Amber) Young. Charles is also survived by two longtime friends, Tom and Rick. He was preceded in death by his brother Jarrell Young and parents Jean Smith and Charles W. Young Sr. Charles was a proud United States Army Veteran. He served two tours in Vietnam and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant after 5 years of service. Charles devoted 33 years to Ford Motor Company before his retirement. He enjoyed war movies and learning about different periods in history. In his retirement, he also became the go to handyman around the house. A visitation for Charles will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Friends may visit the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 10:00 am.
