Charlotte Doerner now joins her beloved husband Edward and many cherished pets (Fritzi, Lucy, Max, and Lizzy) who have passed before her. Mourning her loss are her daughters, Wanda Doerner and Christine Doerner-McCary (the late Timothy) after a stoic multi-year battle against dementia and physical decline.
Charlotte was fluent in 4 languages, English, German, French and Hungarian and loved living in Michigan. Trips to Mackinac Island with husband, Edward and cottage vacations on Higgins Lake were highlights spent exploring this majestic state.
Needlepoint was her passion. Vincent Van Gogh inspired many of her artistic creations. Charlotte loved reading Danielle Steel novels, playing UNO and laughing over TV sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond. She always looked forward to Friday fish fry at the Carpathia Club in Clinton Township.
Charlotte embraced the art of entertaining guests with her exceptional culinary talent and social skills. After retiring from REVCO, where she was a well-loved pharmacy clerk, retirement gave her many years to create lasting memories for her beloved family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate to Charlotte's favorite charity, the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit.
