Christina Lee was born in Detroit, MI at Grace Hospital on April 17, 1998 to (mother) Shoua Kue and (father) Tou Lee. She absolutely adored soccer and played the sport ever since elementary school. One of her many talents included singing with an angelic voice that would melt any heart. She loved to do song covers, sing at Hmong New Year celebrations, and at parties in general.
She was also passionate about dancing. Christina performed a variety of American and Hmong dances. She was in a talented dance group called "Nkauj Hmoob Nas Ej". Additionally, she entered a Miss Teen Beauty Pageant at the Metropolitan Hmong New Year in 2013 and won second place but she was always first place to us. However, she did manage to win first place for best talent for performing the song entitled, "Kuv Nco Koj" by Kaying Xiong.
She was also an aspiring model and actress in which she would've been so successful because she had both beauty and talent. Christina grew up into a beautiful young lady who was mature beyond her years and possessed sophistication that other girls would only dream of. She was like an old soul that saw the best in everyone she met and was able to light up a whole room with her perfect smile and charm.
As the saying goes, "You don't know what you have until it's gone" and now we realized that we all lost an angel who had to return home too early to the arms of our Heavenly Father. She will be truly missed and treasured by the countless lives that she helped change and touch with her short time here. With a heart of gold and wings to match my dear, may you watch over us as you fly through the heavens free as a bird. May our angel rest in peace.
She is preceded in death by her loving uncle and best friend, Cher Chue Kue in 2011.
Survivors include (mother) Shoua Kue, (father) Tou Lee, (brothers) Bryan, Kaiyu, and Kyle Lee, (grandpa) Youa Bee Kue, (grandma) Ma Yang Kue, (uncles) Xao, Teng, and Donald Kue, (aunties) Pang, Ka, Choua, Yer, and Nancy Kue. Also, (grandma) True Lor and the Lee family.
A very special thanks to all friends, relatives, and family who donated in this time of tragedy especially to the gofundme.com site which helped tremendously. All your continued support, prayers, and donations would be much appreciated and God bless each and every single one of you.
