Claudia J. Harris, age 64, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021. She is the Dear sister of Darlene D. Baird. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil E. and Althea J. Harris and brother, Edwin J. Harris.
Claudia was born April 14, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Cecil and Althea Harris. She worked in the medical billing industry for over 30 years.
Her hobbies were cooking, working outside in her yard, old movies and TV shows, as well as music. Claudia loved to find a new recipe to try. Sometimes it was good and sometimes not, but a failure never stopped her. She loved to watch old movies, especially Cary Grant, and old TV shows like Columbo. She was an avid Lord Of The Rings fan loving both the books and the movie trilogy. Her love of music went from A to Z. She loved ABBA to Warren Zevon and everything in between. She especially loved movie themes and always found a new theme that she loved to listen to on her tablet.
Claudia was also an animal lover, especially for cats and birds. She had adopted and rescued many cats over the years, and would feed the birds in her backyard all year long, even in the deepest snow. The birds in her yard miss her now.
A gathering will take place on Thursday, July 15, 2021 with visitation from 5 - 7 PM, and a memorial service immediately following at 7 PM, at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038.
