My deepest condolences to the Teschler family.  I just happened to think of Dale this morning and I decided to look him up. I am deeply saddened to learn of Dale’s passing. I remember Dale as an excellent emergency  room nurse during my years as a Paramedic at Universal Ambulance and later at Medstar EMS.  He taught me much as a medic transitioning to my career as a registered nurse where we became close colleagues in the emergency room at Mount Clemens General Hospital. Dale was incredibly knowledgeable and kind to me for which I will always be grateful for. I am still in practice at Select Specialty Hospital in Mt. Clemens. Thank you for everything you did for me Dale. I am so thankful to have had the privilege to meet you. It is said you will receive a crown in heaven for each good work you do on earth. You will receive a crown for the generosity you have given to me. God speed my friend.

For no special identifiable reason, today I was moved to look up an old Army buddy, Dale. Something compelled me to do an internet search only a few days earlier.   He and I were together in CO combat medic training many years ago.  Those memories almost always look better in hindsight, but they are rich.  I will remember and cherish the twinkle in his eye, his humor, and his gentle caring.  We were blessed to have him in so many ways.  Cherish those blessings. My heart is broken to learn of Dale's passing.  My comfort is that he is playing Eucre with his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and his cousin, Jimmy.  Dale was the most loving person you could wish for.  He was the perfect nurse because he was so caring and gentle with everyone.  All I have are great memories from growing up together on the farm.  Even during the worst of times he was a steady and calm energy, who opened his home to all his family.  I am forever grateful for Dale, Mary Pat, Karl, Krista and Keri and the Bob Seger music by candlelight!  I wish we had more time together.  

I’ll never forget how much he loved teaching the kids about farming in the community garden. I look forward to seeing his heavenly garden one day. 

Where do I begin and where could I possibly end talking about this great man! I have seen the love he has for Mary Pat, his children, and his grandchildren.  It was priceless! He had so much knowledge on so many different topics. I am pretty sure that I learned something new every time we spoke. My prayers go out to his lovely family! It is a hard time but I hope you can find peace in his memory. Hug each other a little longer, love deeper, and know that Dale will always be there watching over you.

Dale was a proud Army veteran.  He loved to share his personal Army story with those who understood what it meant to be an American Soldier.  I was fortunate that he shared his story with me.  Thank you Dale and thank you for your selfless service to our great country.

I first met Dale when he was a ER supervisor in 1981 as he’d come up to 33 and recruited me. He was very knowledgeable and fun to work with, a great mentor and an unforgettable laugh. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers are for you Mary Pat and your family. I’ll never forget how all of us on afternoon shift found staff to work for us so we could all take a bus to see the Tigers play the yr they won the World Series. (Including Dale who approved all of our request slips) I think there may have been some heat put on him for that since it was mostly all contingent staff working the ER that evening.

I remember Dale working ER at St. Joe's. I worked the same shift as a respiratory therapist. He was a warm and loving individual who shared many insights. One thing he told me when I was a new parent in 1990 was to use Tylenol for fevers during the day and Pediaprofen for fevers at night so you can sleep without worrying about spikes. He was knowledgeable and kind. I will never forget him.

I’m terribly saddened by this news of your passing Dale. You did a lot of Good as an RN. numerous hours working afternoons and mentoring many. It was always an interesting time in the E. D. Sending our deepest condolences from Sally and I.

I will miss his big bear hugs, his stories and the memories I have. He was a mentor to my husband when they worked in the ER together and I commend him for his work with Gift of Life. You have been through a lot, Dale, but you will be watching over Mary Pat and your kids and they can find peace knowing you are free. My sincere condolences, Mary Pat and Family.

Dear sweet Dale.  I really love you and your sweet wife MaryPat.  You were always such a total joy to be around.  Such a fun loving caring charming and witty guy.  See you in heaven!


My first memory of Dale was when I was 14 and moving in next door.  The kindness Dale and Mary Pat showed us were as big as he was.  The welcome they showed us was a monumental part of my life.  As we built our home next to theirs they shared all they had and my dad loved sharing our wine with them!  Our families became intertwined through generations and will forever be.  Dale we will miss you forever.
