My sister Val wrote everything I would have put down.   Being two years younger than Val I don’t remember what the Regency was but , I remember being in the foyer waiting for uncle Danny, jumping up and down and saying “uncle Danny,uncle Danny can we have gum?   I remember the dolls we got Christmas  time from him and uncle Bobby.    He was so good looking.   We will miss him but, we will always cherish our memories.    Love, Lanette 

When I think of my Uncle Dan, I remember a generous heart, with a calm and easy going nature. As a kid I remember him patiently
 teaching me baseball and how to be a good hitter by keeping my eye on the ball and it always worked.
I remember when visiting him at my grandparent's house (before he was married to Aunt Bev) he always had gum for my sister Lanette and I whenever we asked him. I also remember when he and Uncle Bobby bought all of us kids Christmas presents one Christmas when we were all at Uncle Louie and Aunt Rose's house.  They sure got a kick out of doing that and of course so did all of us kids.
And I remember his face lighting up when my Dad and I would stop in to see him at Regency.  He was always so thoughtful about making us comfortable around those that he sat with and would introduce us and make sure to offer us something to drink. 
My daughter Lindsay, when I told our kids that he had passed, said, "Is he the uncle that looked like Robert DeNiro?"  He was a handsome man and we'll miss his gentle spirit very much, but  know that we'll see him again someday.  Rest in Peace Uncle Dan. Love, Val
