David G. Garner

David G. Garner, age 71, of Cambridge, Ohio, passed away on June 15, 2022. He is the treasured brother of Judith Perkowski, Donna Bakich, Darlene Doctor (Rob), Jerilyn Donahue, Elaine Edwards (Lloyd), Susan Wightman, Mary Garner and Debbie Hatton; Dearest step-son of Jim Heigel, who cared for David for close to 50 years; dear step-brother of David Heigel and Greg (Alayna) Heigel; Also survived by many nieces and nephews and nephews that loved him. David will also be missed by his friends Charlie and Phillip with whom he resided with, his good friend Cory Eberle and his caregivers Teresa and John. David was preceded in death by his father George Garner, mother Helen Heigel, siblings Patricia, William, Linda and Johnny.

David was truly a special person. He loved everyone, and was always friendly and kind. He looked to make new friends anywhere he went. David also had a passion for cars. He could tell you anything you needed to know about almost any car. He will be missed dearly.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 3-8 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 12 PM, also at Resurrection Funeral Home. Final resting place, Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, MI.
