David William Stosik, age 73, of Chesterfield, Michigan passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025. He was born February 20, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Philip J. Stosik and the late Sophie (Mysiorowicz-Stosik) Wisniewski.
David enjoyed bowling in his youth, collecting coins, playing cards with his family, fishing and going up North. He loved trying his luck playing the Daily 3 or 4 lotto and scratch-off tickets, often being quoted "You can't win if you don't play" and always missing winning it big by one number. He also enjoyed going to the casino. David retired from ThyssenKrupp, formally Copper and Brass Sales. He was always up to date on what was happening in the news and weather and was sure to keep his family informed. David's greatest joy was being Papa Bear to his granddaughters and giving them knuckle sandwiches. He will be greatly missed by those fortunate enough to know him.
David is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sue (Borkowski); their children, David (Melanie) Stosik, Katie (Jim) Hughes; his grandchildren, Charlotte, Addison, Jordan, Abigail; his sisters, Valerie, Diane; and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation for David will be held Friday, March 14, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a 5:30pm Memorial Service at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035.
