Please know that Dave was a special soul.

We will always hold very fond memories of Dave as our neighbor and friend in Florida. Thoughts of him bring a smile to our face and a peace in our hearts. He cared for his neighbors and always had a smile to share and gave to the world a beautiful presence. God speed friend. Colleen and Alan

My condolences to Dave's family. I met Dave in the late 1960's at Advance Mortgage. I was going to college and working at Advance during the summer, full-time, and on weekends, part-time. I operated their computer and sorted down data files that were on punched-cards (80 columns across and 12 rows high). One letter or number could be coded in each column.

I remember him as an upbeat fellow. He laughed readily and enjoyed telling a good
entertaining story. I left Advance in Dec 1968 and started working at a bank. In two years, I came back to Advance as a computer programmer.

Advance moved to Southfield within a year, I believe. At some point, Dave joined the computer programming staff under Pat Gillies. That is where Dave and I became co-workers. He was the same very likeable guy as before. I wish that I had gone on more of those outings of the Computer Programming staff. All the guys came back with laughter and stories to tell.

I will ask Dave's family to remember the best things about Dave, the husband, and Dave, the father. Those are the memories to never forget. They will cheer you up when you feel sad. My 2 daughters are in their 40's and my son in his 30's. They still laugh and tell stories of our family vacations

May God bring you peace and joy to the heart..
