I’m so sorry to hear of Dennis’ passing. I was always very fond of Dennis growing up. When I was a little girl I remember watching DJD practicing in cousin Joe’s garage, or in someone’s basement. I still think of him when I hear “Heatwave” and “Surrender”. I was happy when he’d come to our house to visit my dad, Leo. Dennis always had a big warm smile for me. He was always so nice to me. My deepest condolences to the Cox family.

What can I say about this guy I loved so much!We have been friends since we were 5 years old. singing his name to get the door opened, flu shots from Aunt Marge. Big Jim was afraid I'd die of an asthma attack at the cottage. So many good times, at the pot tree, and other adventures Ill keep to myself. Playing in the band with Dennis and Joe Fonti and our accordion player Bob Orlowski. Later in life as we got married and had kids we always stayed in touch. Not as much as I would've liked too but you take what you can get. we would always call each other on our birthdays! I'm going to miss that. I'll call you Dennis Cox! With a prayer next April 9th! Love you man!

Cox Cousins,
So sad to hear the news of Dennis passing. Wonderful memories we shared in Detroit and Pickney. We laughed until we cried at all our family outings. God bless you Dennis and may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Dearest Heidi and Rachel-sending my deepest sympathies to you both and your families. My heart breaks for all of you. I loved Dennis. Truly loved him. He was a wonderful husband, father, sibling and friend. Dennis was such a huge part of my life for many years. As kids, and as adults. Years would go by and we’d pick up right where we left off! Some of those wonderful old memories were the days at “the cottage”, muck beach, water skiing, swimming, laughing along with Danny, and Karen (Voss) Victor. Bicentennial weekend with Dan Da’Mico, DJD, “if it’s yellow let it mellow”, and so many more. Such fantabulous memories….
I love you Dennis, always have, always will. Rest In Peace my dear cousin….
Janet
