Dennis M. Kanasty, age 76, of Clinton Twp., passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Beloved husband of 50 years to Elizabeth; loving father of Eric (Amy), Tim (Melissa), Greg (Ashley), and Rosemary (Mary); dear grandfather of Eian, Jack, Alexander, Christian, and Daisy; and cherished brother of Kenneth (Judy). Dennis loved sailing on Lake St. Clair and raised his family to love the water and the outdoors. He kept a vegetable garden for decades and was known for his tomatoes. As a teacher, he maintained a lifelong passion for science and engineering. Dennis was also known for helping his family, from all home and auto repairs to cross country moves. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp., MI. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Doctors without Borders.
