Born and raised with a love for life, Dorothy built a fulfilling career as a dedicated Customer Service Instructor for MichCon/DTE, where she mentored many before her retirement in 1993. Known for her professionalism and friendly demeanor, she was a respected member of the MichCon family.
Beyond her career, Dorothy lived life to the fullest. She was an enthusiastic traveler who treasured her trips to Ireland and enjoyed cruises. At home, she was a dedicated shopper, who loved finding special treasures.
She was the beloved Aunt Dot of Jeanine (Paul) McCaulley, Gerald “Jerry” (Deborah) Scully Jr., Margaret (John O’Sullivan) Scully, Mark (Diane) Scully, Maureen (Anthony) Fleury and Kathleen (Christopher Scarborough) Scully and great-aunt of Ryan McCaulley, Kaitlyn (Cameron) Riopelle, Megan (Scott) Prusik, Melanie (Zachary) Van BusKirk, Daniel Scully, Sarah (Christopher) Millner, Jennifer Scully, Matthew (Carly) Fleury and Andrew (Katelyn Engebreston) Fleury and great-great aunt of Wyatt, Piper, Elliot, Theo, Alex, Gabriel, Mars, August and Henry.
She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Gerald “Ray” Scully and her sister-in-law Bernadette Scully and her dear nephew, James Scully.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated care workers who supported Aunt Dot. Specifically, a special thank you to Anytime Care, Custom Palliative Care, and Custom Hospice for their incredible compassion, care, and support during her final months.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 3PM until 8PM at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Twp., MI 48035. In state Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 9:30AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 54045 Schoenherr Road, Shelby Twp., MI 48315.
