Edward “Ed" William Baurhenn, Jr., age 72, of Clinton Township, Michigan, left his home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 5, 2021 after a brave battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's Disease. Ed was born February 20, 1949 to Edward and Virginia (Doolittle) Baurhenn in Detroit, Michigan. Ed was preceded in death by his parents. Ed is survived by his beloved wife of nineteen years, Connie (Lamia) Baurhenn. Their romance, after meeting again decades after high school, was a very special blessing. Ed will be deeply missed by his surviving siblings: Bob (Catherine) Baurhenn, Karen Murray, Gary (the late Pam) Baurhenn, and Linda (Steve) Kon; brother-in-laws: the late Joey (Gail), Frank (Patti), John (Pearl), and Charles (Maria) Lamia; as well as his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Ed worked for DTE, known to many as Detroit Edison, for 38 years until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed golfing with his lifelong friends and with his brother-in-laws. In retirement, he had a lot of fun buying and selling on eBay. Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield, Clinton Twp., MI. In gratitude for their excellent care and to help them continue with the services they are providing, memorial donations may be made to ALS of Michigan (https://alsofmichigan.org) or Hospice of Michigan (https://www.hom.org) in Ed’s name.
