Edward Joseph Quirk

Edward J. Quirk passed away on December 27, 2017 at the age of 86. He was the loving husband of Noreen Quirk for 54 years. The beloved father of Susan (Wayne) Hodnett, David (Christine) Quirk, Karen Quirk, Larry (Shery) Quirk, and John (Christine) Quirk. The cherished grandfather of Christina, Jonathan, Joseph, Benjamin, Jamie, Daniel, Nathaniel, Taylor, Owen, Zachary, and Riley. The caring son of the late John and Anna Quirk. He was the dear brother of Helen Nowak. Edward was preceded in death by his siblings John Quirk, Lawrence Quirk, Margaret Mattiello, Rose Rita Reithle, Daniel Quirk, and Barbara Ann Anger. Edward was a third generation battalion chief for the Detroit Fire Department.

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 3 to 9pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A Rosary will take place at 7pm on Friday. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 9:30am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road in Sterling Heights. Friends may visit the church beginning at 9am. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery following the funeral mass.
