Thank you ,for letting me be part of your life.Even with unbelievable hardship and pain ,you were a perfect partner and friend ,for 44 years. It's so unfair how much pain you suffered and I am so sorry that I could not and did not do more.I have and will forever love you.Goodbye Sunshine.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Ellen the past few years when I started dating her son Scott! She was the sweetest lady and I still remember her telling me when I saw her, "Where is my hug?" She had a little pink bunny that i gave her for Easter last year when she was in the hospital and I was so honored when Scott's dad Doug said I could keep it to remember her. My only sad part that I feel is I wish I knew her my whole life. Your whole family has made me feel welcome Scott and I am sorry for your loss Doug Scott and Shawn! Ellen is truly an angel!

We were blessed to have Ellen in our lives for over 45 years. Since 1975 she has been & always will be an integral part of our lives & a member of the "orignial six". Her memory lives on through all her thoughtful acts. Many of my favorite memories come from our league bowling. We were only 3 weeks into bowling season when the child care director came up to our team and informed Ellen that her son Scott was no longer welcome in the! Ellen was an awesome mom & Scott was smart beyond his years. Not wanting to be away from his mom Scott basically antagonized every child in the nursery. Within minutes he had them all screaming. She was told not to bring him back. Ellen was mortified that anyone would do this to her child. The look on her face was priceless. Once our team assured her that we would take turns watching him while she bowled each week, she calmed down, and was actually able to laugh. I was barely out of college when she joined our family. Over the years she was more of a sister, than a sister-in-law. Married to my brother for 45 years told me she was a! We raised families, had grandchildren and enjoyed life. I shared her love of books and learning. So many fond memories over the years. Doug, Shawn & Scott thank you for sharing her with us over the years. Her grace & dignity in spite of her illness was inspiring to us all. I never heard her complain about the hand fate dealt her. She is pain free & her spirit is free. Mom is looking out for her in the great beyond. Another angel got her wings. You are all in our thoughts & prayers at this most difficult time. Love to all!

I remember the good times. First having the party for your wedding in our backyard. Back then you and Linda, meeting weekly to have lunch. Once we moved downriver, time faded. I’m sorry for all the pain you suffered through out your years with the Parkinson’s disease. I think you suffered enough and you get to go to the front of the line. May your pain and suffering come to an end and you Rest In Peace . Love Carl and Julie
