Mrs. Esperanza “Espie” A.Zelent, age 76, of Sterling Heights, passed away December 3, 2011. She was born April 11, 1935 in Pueblo, CO. She retired in 2005 from Towne Mortgage Company where she worked as an accountant. Family members said she enjoyed painting, sewing and crafts. Her favorite hobby was cooking Mexican dishes for her family during the holidays. She also enjoyed feeding the slot machines and trying to win the lotto. She is survived by her husband Robert; children Richard (Kathy), and Randall; grandchildren Jacklyn, Jennifer (Nicholas) Monacelli, and Jessica; siblings Ramon (Elizabeth) Garcia, Rupert (Shirley) Garcia, Marcy (George) Redlawsk, and Beatrice Ward. She was pre-deceased by her parents Lawrence and Marcelina Garcia; siblings Anthony Garcia and Lawrence Garcia. Memorial visitation Friday, 10:00AM until time of memorial service 1:00PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
