Ethel Alene Rubino

Ethel Alene Rubino – Age 92, was born February 22, 1923. She passed away December 24, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Rubino Sr.; loving mother of Peter, Lexie, Elizabeth (Betty Jean) and Willard Rubino and the late Joseph Jr., and William (Billy) Rubino; proud Grandmother of Steven, Jennifer, Pete Jr., Michelle and Sarah Rubino; loving Great Grandmother to Liam, Lorelei, Anthony, Jameson and Lily Marie Rubino. She is survived by her sisters Ida Clarabell (Price), Lexie (Woisnet), Nancy (Krull) and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Mary Lou Osborne and Mildred (Ruth) Owen and brothers Ford, Willard and Ralph Osborne. Ethel worked for Sears Roebuck for over 35 years eventually retiring from Sears Lakeside Mall (Sterling Heights, Michigan). Ethel was an avid reader (averaging 6-8 books a week) and loved watching her favorite TV shows (Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and The Food Network). An original “Farmer’s Daughter”, Ethel loved all forms of nature, gardening, wildlife and the out-of-doors. She spent her final years in Southwest Florida enjoying the warm weather and the abundant natural beauty of the area. She was a sweet and beautiful soul who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
