Evelyn Marie Kolbus

Evelyn Marie Kolbus of Clinton Township, MI passed away November 07, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hamtramck, MI to Victor and Irene on August 23rd in 1942. It was here that she met her husband of 59 years, John J. Kolbus. They married in May of 1961, two people who loved each other through all the ups and downs…they were inseparable, the best of friends.

Evelyn was a prayer warrior a teacher to all that would listen. She would tell everyone about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She found happiness in helping others. You could call her day or night and she would listen. Many of her friends and family considered her a second mother.

She would want everyone to know that the Bible states JOHN 14:1 - Let not your heart not be troubled: Ye believe in God, believe also in me 2: In my father’s house are many mansions: If it were not so, I would of told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Evelyn is in heaven now with JESUS. She will be missed incredibly by all and leaves an emptiness impossible to fill.

Evelyn is survived by her loving Husband John; her dear children Michael Kolbus, Michelle Kolbus and Lynne Latouf; grandchildren Michelle, Kayla, Lawrence III, David and Alyssa Latouf, Sophia and Madison Kolbus. She is preceded in death by her parents Victor Lata and Irene Constintine; and siblings Joe Watta, Victor Watta, Richard Watta, Jean Gelil, and Patricia Johnson.

Evelyn will be laid to rest at Christian Memorial Gardens West on Friday, November 13th at 12:00 noon. Fond memories and online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KaulFuneralHome.com
