She was the beloved wife for 50 years, and love of his life for almost 60 years, to Louis Abila Jr; Cherished mother of Louis Abila III (Colleen), Suzie Fellows (Paul), Wayne Lee, Patrick Fields, Tina Jacklyn (Dave), Vickie Divo (John), Victor Abila, Lisa Matthews-Abila (Bill) and Kalvin Charania, who was like a son to her; Treasured grandmother of 21 grandchildren, great-grandmother of 17 and great-great-grandmother of 1; Loving sister of Julie Dettloff; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends. Frances was preceded in death by her grandson, James Divo, and 4 of her siblings.
Frances was an extraordinary woman whose love and devotion to her family knew no bounds. She was the heart of her family, always caring for and nurturing those around her. Her unwavering support and selfless nature left a lasting impact on everyone she touched. Her legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire her family for generations to come, and she will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 2-8 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038. A brief gathering will follow on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM, also at Resurrection Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township, Michigan.
