George John Bundy, a proud veteran and longtime resident of Clinton Township, passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 99.. George served his country with honor as a member of a distinguished unit known as the Black Panthers, an accomplishment he carried with immense pride throughout his life.
After his military service, George worked at Chrysler for 42 years as a personnel manager at the tank plant. He retired at the age of 58, but wasn't ready to slow down. He went on to spend another 30 years as a hall manager at the Bruce Post in St. Clair Shores and the American Legion in Roseville, retiring for the second time at age 88.
A devoted fan of Detroit sports, George especially loved the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings. Whether it was at the ballpark, on the ice, or on the screen at home, he always found joy in the game.
George was a devoted husband to the late Irene Bundy for 48 years before her passing in 2005; cherished father to George E. Bundy and Brian L. (Fran Geer) Bundy; dearest brother to the late Michael Bundy, the late William Bundy, and the late Jewel Beaufait.
A graveside service for George will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, 38425 Garfield Rd, Michigan, MI 48038.
