Gerald W. Hewitt II

Gerald W. Hewitt II passed away on September 30, 2022 at the age of 91. He was the loving husband of the late Elaine for 57 years. The caring father of Glen Hewitt and the late Gerald W. Hewitt III. He was the loving grandfather of Gerald W. Hewitt IV (Stacy), Christopher Hewitt, Michael R. Hewitt (Gina), Erica R. Palomo (Eric), and Shannon M. Thompson (Lawrence). He was the cherished great grandfather of Steven Mills, Dominic Ventimiglia, Austin Thompson, Maria Palomo, Katelyn Hewitt, Erica Hewitt, Ashlee Thompson, Isabella Mills, Curzito Palomo, Emily Mills, Gerald W. Hewitt V, and Eric Palomo Jr.

Gerald was a proud Army veteran and served from 1948 to 1954. He served during the Korean War and was held as a POW.

A visitation for Gerald will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Friends may visit on Thursday beginning at 10:00 am.
