Jim was one of the finest court officers I worked with in the 39th. He was truly a gentleman with a great sense of humility and humor. A great loss to all of us. God Bless my friend.

“BUTTERCUP” was Jim’s code name when he worked undercover. A fitting name for someone as nice as him. He will be truly missed.

I worked with Jim for several years on the police department, he was truly one of the nicest guys I ever worked with. He always cared about everyone and always did his job. He served with honesty and integrity. God Bless you Jim and your beautiful family.

Growing up from humble beginnings Jim was always my big brother. We shared many of the same loves, hunting, fishing, golf and bowling together. Our father worked 3 jobs so that we might have a better future and could for a period attend St. Clement School in Centerline. We were always very close and pretty much inseparable as we grew older. When I was about 4 yrs old we were playing down the street when I started suffering an appendix attack and Jim picked me up and carried me back to our house. There are too many good stories, just know that Jim was my best friend throughout life and the hereafter.
I love and miss my big brother. See you up there BOOZ

I am saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He was the nicest person who treated people with respect regardless of their status in life. He served the citizens of Roseville honorably in his role as Police Officer and Court Officer. He served the employees of Roseville as Retirement Board Trustee. He was very astute in this role. Most importantly he was a nice man and I will miss his smiling face.
