James "Jim" L. Boettcher

James L. Boettcher, age 72, passed away on September 16. 2015. Jim was the loving husband of Joyce for over 48 years. He leaves behind his children Matt and Kristy Boettcher, granddaughter Brianna and siblings; Lawrence (Janice Andrews) Boettcher, Joann (James) Zmierski, Kenneth (Cecelia) Boettcher and Leonard (Lucille) Boettcher. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Yvonne Boettcher.

Jim enjoyed woodworking and bowling in his younger years. He was a member of City Lutheran and East Side Lutheran bowling leagues. Jim was also a Boy Scout leader for over 25 years and was part of the Mackinac Boy Scout Honor Guard Troop 168. More than anything, Jim loved spending time with his family.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 22 from 3-9 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd. Clinton Township, MI 48035. The funeral will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 23 at 10 am. Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Clinton Twp., Boy Scout Mackinac Island Service troop 168 or charity of persons choice.
