Joseph Charles Sant, a man of boundless energy and diverse talents, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024 at the age of 65. He leaves behind a legacy as vibrant and multifaceted as the life he lived.
Born with a zest for life, Joe’s passion for cars ignited a lifelong career in the automotive industry. In addition to the joy he found in the world of cars, Joe also harbored a fascination for airplanes, particularly Boeing. Yet, Joe’s talents extended far beyond his mechanical pursuits. He possessed an artistic soul, finding expression through painting and lending his voice to captivating voiceovers. His entertainment prowess knew no bounds as he delighted others with his singing and served as a cantor at the 4:30 PM Saturday evening mass at his home parish of St. Michael’s in Sterling Heights, touching the hearts of many with his melodious voice.
Despite his myriad talents, Joseph remained grounded in his love for people, cherishing every moment spent with his family and relishing the company of friends. In his leisure time, he dabbled in gardening, nurturing both vegetables and flowers with care and dedication, being out on the water, and supporting and enjoying U of M sports. Joe’s presence illuminated the lives of all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the kaleidoscope of passions that defined his extraordinary life.
Joe leaves behind his wife of almost 38 years, Carol Sant; his children Connie Sant and Jeffrey Sant; Siblings Carmen Radloff (Bob), Fran Bynum (Ray), and Emanuel Sant (Debbie), and many nieces and nephews.
