John M. Burke

John M Burke, “Mike Burke” passed away on March 17, 2025. He was 74. A devoted family man, loyal friend and hard-working role model. He loved the dog track, horse racing, casinos, most of all watching and playing sports with his grandchildren. He found joy in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, 4-wheeling. John also had a deep love for his career as a Greyhound bus driver. He often said, “Every day is like a vacation!” embracing the journey and the people he met along the way. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.

John leaves behind a legacy of loved ones. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Karon Burke. His children Kelly Ralston (Sean), Michael Burke (Stephanie) and Kevin Burke. Grandchildren Jamison Burke, Brianna Burke (Jeffy), Brookelyn Burke, Tyler Ralston, Evin Hollifield. Sister Carol Collis (the late Bill) and family. Sister-in-law Sheila Belanger, the late Valerie Passmore. Many uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jessie the Chessie too!

Beloved Husband, Dad, Pa Pa. Forever in our hearts and greatly missed.

A visitation for John will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
