John William Fowler Sr., Age 89, passed away on October 15, 2021. He is survived by his children; Diana (Ronald) Fallon, John William Fowler Jr, Denise (Mike) Fowler-Titus and Stacey Fowler. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ida Mae Fowler.
John was a retired truck driver. He drove trucks for around 50 years and was a proud Teamster Union member of #43 and #24. He also was a proud veteran of the Army. John belonged to the American Legion in Montgomery, Michigan and Freeport, Indiana. John loved to go to Bingo and attend Blue Grass /Gospel programs. He also enjoyed fishing on his pontoon boat with family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp., MI 48035.
Burial will be on Friday October 22, 2021 at noon at Rest Lawn Cemetery 3450 Eastern Ave SE., Grand Rapids, MI 49508 with a committal service and military honors.
