Jordan Daryl Schave, age 25, of Warren Michigan, was born March 7, 1989 in Rochester Hills. He unexpectedly departed his place on earth May 27, 2014 at St. John Providence Hospital in Warren surrounded by his loving family, friends and coworkers. Cause of death is still pending.
Jordan is survived by his loving son, Dylan Michael Sawyer, age 5; his parents Debra and Daryl Schave; his sister, BreAnne (Vincent) Herbert-Schave; dearest niece IsaBella Herbert-Schave, age 4; grandparents Harry and Patsy Siemen of Harbor Beach, Michigan; and late grandparents Herbert and Ida Schave of Port Hope, Michigan. Survivors include many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers.
He attended Warren Woods Christian School, Zoe Christian Academy, Cousino High School, and received his diploma in June 2008 from Warren Community High. He attended Macomb Community College’s Applied Technology Program majoring in Welding.
Being a welder, steel erector and fabricator was a big part of Jordan’s work life. At a young age he began by sweeping floors and organizing tools at his Dad’s steel shop. He moved up the ranks to work side by side with his Dad as a welder. He took pride in Detroit and rebuilding the city one job at a time. He was often seen wearing the Detroit “D” logo or a “Made in Detroit” t-shirt in support of his love for the city. Jordan worked at Dearborn Midwest Conveyor as a Fabricator since October 2012. He was proud of his fabricating and welding skills building large scale chutes and complex conveyor systems for large industries in North America and abroad. His coworkers were his much loved daytime family and many looked up to him for his work skills and expertise. In a personal setting, he would grin from ear to ear showing family and friends his phone pics of his current work projects. His work was very dear to him and he took pride in making sure each project was done right.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, canoeing, boating, listening to music, going up north, going to his second home in Harbor Beach, campfire time, playing poker, cooking, eating, gardening and chilling with his sister, yard work, and spending time with his friends. His most favorite time was spent with his son Dylan and niece Bella, playing games with them, building with magnet blocks, and sharing his hard candy and ice cream. Jordan was always looking for welding projects to do. His most recent project to build a mini bike with Dylan will now go unfinished, and the pop up camper recently bought to do backyard camping with Dylan will never be shared by the two of them.
Jordan is deeply loved and sadly missed. He is now with us in spirit and memory.
Visitation will take place at Kaul Funeral Home 35201 Garfield, Clinton Township, Michigan on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 1:00 pm until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
