Joseph Anthony Baker, beloved husband, father, papa and sibling, passed away on March 28, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on March 26, 1955, in Detroit, Joe was a man whose presence and warmth will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Joseph was married to his devoted wife, Donna, for 47 years, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and memories. He was a proud father to Melissa (Mark) and Nicholas (Amanda), who were the light of his life. Joseph's greatest joy came from being a "Papa" to his two granddaughters, Emma and Claire, who filled his heart with love and happiness. His love extended to his two additional grandchildren Mariah and Aiden and new great granddaughter, Zariah.
Joseph is also survived by his cherished sister, Elizabeth (David), and was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine, his father, John, and his sister, Cathy.
Joe’s life was marked by his kindness, humor, and unwavering support for his family. A man of great integrity and kindness, Joseph touched the lives of all who knew him. His warm heart, sense of humor, generosity and unwavering support of others will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to call him a loved one. He touched the lives of many and left a lasting legacy of love and care.
Joe will forever be in our hearts, and his memory will live on in the lives of those who loved him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 3-8pm at Kaul Funeral Home, Clinton Twp, MI and lying in state Friday, April 4, 2025 at 11am, with mass following at 12pm, St Ambrose Catholic Church Grosse Pointe Park, MI. The family invites all to join in honoring Joseph’s life and legacy.
