On Tuesday morning, July 6, at the age of 93, Josephine D’Anna peacefully passed away in her home, surrounded by family.

She is survived by her seven children; Bernadette Caruso (Jerry Caruso), John D’Anna (Karen D'Anna), Ann Marie D'Anna (Paul J. Kashat), Frances Rose Orchard (Bill Orchard), Michael D'Anna, Mary Beth Hennigan (Michael Hennigan), Christina Davies (Kurt Davies). She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John J. D'Anna and her son, Philip D'Anna.

Josephine (Josie), was an extremely devoted wife and loving mother of eight children. Josie was a magnificent domestic engineer and phenomenal cook, whose picnics and party feasts were legendary. She kept an impeccable home and was very creative. Truly a perfectionist in everything she touched, Josie enjoyed sewing projects, ceramics, crocheting... and making a beautifully functioning home for her husband and children. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was very loved by all.
