Joyce Diane Rent, age 71, of Warren, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2024. She was the beloved wife of her high school sweetheart and husband of 51 years, David F. Rent; loving and beloved mother of Dawn Marie (Michael) Bacon and David Robert (Chace) Rent; and devoted grandmother of Ashley Ann, Kaitlyn Lillian, and Yvonna Rose Bacon. She is also survived by her sisters Carol E. (Jerry) Palazzolo, Mary Ann (Charles) Lugibihl, and her brothers Paul M. Dobo, Edward C. (Sue) Dobo, and Stephen E. (Cindy) Dobo.
Joyce lived for her family, especially her children and granddaughters. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, and daughter. She was a talented seamstress, capable of creating beautiful, elaborate quilts and clothing. She enjoyed crafts that allowed her to express her artistic and creative personality, and had a wonderful, infectious sense of humor. She had a special love for animals and opened her heart and her home to many family pets throughout the years. In the spring and summer, she enjoyed growing vegetables, tending to her flower gardens, and raising butterflies. Joyce was deeply loving and loved, and she will be greatly missed.
Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 10 AM, until time of memorial service at 11 AM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038.
