Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family in the loss of Lynn.  We have fond memories of the Hawaiian Cruise that we met you two on, back in 1993 for our 25th wedding anniversaries.  May God Bless you and give you added strength during this sad time.

A second Mom, with the patience of a saint, Lynn was someone that I looked up to - from the youngest age - as our families spent many a summer camping together when all us kids were little.  I had the privilege of sharing much of my childhood with her, AL, and the girls over those summers - swimming - fishing - cooking - campfires and the like, and I cannot remember any happier times.  Forward to the recent past - sharing a nice rum and coke with Lynn & AL, while visiting for a spirited evening of cards & a little pizza, laughing and carrying on, talking about all we did back then and the fun we had - and all that was happening now.  There are so many memories of Lynn (and Al) that I have over the 30+ years, but the most cherished one that comes to mind is the when my parents and all the adults (several couples including Lynn & AL) were over having a pool party in the back yard late one summer night.  I was about 10 years old, and I remember hearing all the laughing and shouting going on from inside the house - when I heard someone say my name to come outside.  I went out to find that the beach ball that was being batted around had gotten away from them, and why they didn't just simply get out of the pool and go get it themselves for some reason I couldn't understand (I know better now that I'm over 40# - so I was asked to retrieve it for them.  The next thing I know, I'm being bribed by AL - hanging over the side of the pool mind you - to give him the ball - and he'd give me a German Shepard puppy..! #Patches had a litter of pups - so he had a big bargaining chip..!)  By that time, all the other adults were trying to bribe me with something in order to get the ball back - my parents were threatening me - but it was Lynn that I gave the ball to.  She could see that I was a bit overwhelmed and sweetly smiled at me and asked me if she could have the ball - and I just couldn't resist.  I gave it to her, and I remember her gloating over the fact that she didn't have to bribe me with anything - she just had to ask nicely.  I will never forget the look on everyone's faces, it was priceless.  My deepest sympathies go to AL, Dana & Dawn - as I will dearly miss Lynn, she was truly a gentle soul, and a role model that, as I reflect, had such a profound effect since I was a small boy.  A contagious laugh, a warm smile, and a generous heart; she will be never be forgotten by me or Mom as we go along through the rest of our days.

Lynn was a friend since high school.  I an lucky that she remained my friend all these years.  She was one special lady.  She always thought of others first. I guess that God saw that you were getting tired and a cure was not to be.  I will miss all your e-mails.

I remember the first day I had to work for the Schroeders, I was very nervous. And when i got there Lynn answered the door with a big smile and made me feel so comfortable. I never met such a strong willed beautiful person inside and out. She is someone that I will never forget and am very greatful that I got to meet such an amazing person!

Dear Allan & Family,
I was sadden to hear of your Wife, Mom & Grandma Lynn's passing.
The last time I saw her, she was so upbeat and saying the medications were working that I had high hopes of her recovery so I was stunned to hear of her passing.
I will never forget the first time I met you which was at Kelly's wedding and I was sitting with you.  You all made me feel so welcome and that I belonged.
In fact, every time I've seen you, you've always treated me as family so that is how I feel.

God places truly wonderful people in our lives for his purpose.  I was fortunate to meet Lynn this past bowling season and sit with her as my teammate every week.  Wow!  What a loving, caring, and strong lady.  She always put others first above whatever crazy turn her life took this past year. She was a remarkable woman and I am forever blessed to have known her.

We will all miss you Lynn! When i needed help @ bowling  when i just could not get a strike  i asked you   what am i doing wrong and you told me stand either back or   up and take your time.  who will  help me now. I will think of you every Wednesday.

Lynn was such a fun lady!!  There are so many memories of her from the time Dana and I were in 8th grade until I left Michigan in '98...my favorite was the most recent-country line dancing with she and Dana.  Lynn was so vibrant and fun to watch when she danced!!  A true joy to be around!!  I will miss knowing that she's bringing light and love to the people around her.  I am so very sorry for your loss-Lynn was so much like a second mom to me during junior high and high school.  Love and condolences to all.

I was lucky enough as a kid to get to spend time with my wonderful Aunt Lynn, Uncle Al, Dana and Dawn.  I loved to stay with them at their home or in the camper.  What fun we would have!  Aunt Lynn was just enough like my own mom to make it comforting, but different enough to make it an adventure/vacation.  She was such a kind, caring, happy, loving, fun lady and I will miss her terribly.  How could you ever forget that wonderful smile and beautiful laugh of hers.  She was an inspiration to us all not only in the last year but her whole life.  Thanks for all the wonderful memories Aunt Lynn, I love you - Cindy

When I was a kid, she was Mrs. Schroeder: my best friends mom, my girl scout troop leader, the camp cook, my dress maker. As the years went by, she became Lynn: my bowling teammate, concert goer, and most of all - Friend. I will miss her.

i want to offer my condolences to lynn's family.i didn't know her real well but i would see her at dan and sharon's house once in awhile.she was a beautiful lady and nice to be around.!!

"Aunt" Lynn was always fun and thoughtful.  She was a joy to have at family events and will be missed terribly.

Lynn and I were business associates but then it blossomed into a wonderful friendship. 
She had a kind and generous heart and often put other peoples needs ahead of her own.
I saw an inner strength in her this last year that was absolutely incredible. 
I will miss our lunches, our laughter over shared jokes, our phone conversations (she was a great listener) but most of all I will miss my dear friend.

Lynn was one strong lady. She bowled and went to work till the end. I spent my time as a child referring between and her older brother Dan. We did a lot of things together as we were only a year apart in age. Walking to school in Toledo we always had each other as company. Even into high school in Dearborn we still joined Rainbow Girls together. When Mom and Pop wanted to go on a canoe trip where did Lynn spend her time but with me in the dorm at MSU. She was always there for what ever one needed never thinking of herself first. As Dana said on face book Goodbye Lynn go with God.

Dawn & Dana,  I'm so sorry to hear about your mom.  I grew up just around the corner from you on Coachwood.  Your mom touched a lot of people.
