Judy was born in Summertown, Tennessee to Odie Smith and Viola May Palmer. She was the sweetest woman in town and everyone could call her Mom /Grandma. She was the Mom who always had an extra plate ready in case someone was hungry. Judy was an avid Pistons, Lions, and Tigers fan. Not only was she a sports fan she was a Gold Card Member at MGM Casino and loved to do a little gambling for fun. During Judy’s professional career, she worked at Henry Ford Hospital for over 30 years. She spent another 10 years at the DME. So not only did she care for her family and friends, she spent her life helping all those that crossed her path. Unfortunately, Judy is the very last Smith of her generation.
Judy was a Beloved Mother to her children, Raymond, Marjorie, Dawn (Carl), and Jim. A loving Grandmother to 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. A cherishing Aunt to many nieces and nephews but especially to her niece Tammy who she looked at like another daughter, and her two children as her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, her Daughter Shirley, all of her siblings, her Husband Lyle Morgan, and her Husband James Wright.
