Kimberly Jean Oakes passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at the age of 65. She was the loving wife of Jerry Oakes, with whom she shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family.
Kimberly was the devoted mother of Ryan Oakes and Kylee (Bill) Watts, and the proud Gaga of Natalie Oakes, Michael Oakes, Elizabeth Watts, Liam Watts, and Quinn Watts. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she was deeply involved in every part of their world—cheering at games, attending school events, and creating countless cherished memories.
She is also survived by her dear siblings, Kelly (Dean) Wilson, Scott (Sherrie) Bush, and Steve (Angela) Bush, many nieces and nephews and countless family and friends.
Kimberly was known for her warmth, kindness, and her joyful spirit. Selfless and always caring for everyone around her, she was seen as a Mom to more than just her two children. She loved cooking for her family and friends, spending time outdoors golfing, bike riding, and walking the dog. Her energy and enthusiasm were contagious, and she approached life with gratitude and grace.
A dedicated member of the Optimist Club of Macomb, Kimberly took great pride in serving her community and helping others. Her positive outlook and generous heart left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
