Lauretta Smith

She and Baxter were married January 11, 1958, in Center Line, MI. Lauretta and Baxter settled down in Warren where they raised their two children. Lauretta enjoyed bowling in her earlier years. She was a creative scrap booker and was a very good cook. When she wasn't doing those things she enjoyed trips to the casino. Lauretta loved to fish but would never bait the hook herself. She enjoyed hosting holidays and being surrounded by family and friends. And as many of you knew, Lauretta liked to be the boss.

Beloved wife of Baxter for 61 years; loving mother of Pamela (Daniel) Plotzke and Terry (Jennifer); dear grandmother of Adam (Yilan) Childress, Aaron Childress, Todd Childress (Krystal Babosz), Brianna Smith and Elizabeth Smith; proud great grandmother of Clara, Caleb, Holden and Hayden. Lauretta is survived by her brother Danny (Pauline) Horninger and sister in law's Barbara and Beula. Lauretta was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held August 16, 2019 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a service at 7:00pm. Kaul Funeral Home 35201 Garfield, Clinton Township MI 48035.
