Leatrice Mary Kapral “Lea”, 81 of Clinton Township, MI, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2019 surrounded by her daughters. Preceded in death by husband Andrew Kapral in 2013. Survived by daughter, Kimberly Tortomasi, daughter, Susan McNabb, daughter, Shawn (Vincent) Szymborski, and son, Mark (Caroline) Thomas. Lea had eight Grandchildren, Albert, Gary, Kristopher, Holly, Adam, Lindsey (Charles), Kelly and Mark and her five great grandchildren, Brandon, Brooklynn, Brady, Cameron and Rex. Also survived by sister, Donna (Hal) Hughes, sister, Kathleen Hughes, brother, Robert Tehansky.

Lea was born to George Tehansky and Clara Kajewski on July 21, 1937. She attended St. Elizabeth’s Catholic School. She was worked as a medical assistant in Michigan before moving to Florida where she continued to work in the same capacity until her retirement. Lea enjoyed playing pinochle, having dinner parties and shopping.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 2-8 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. An instate will follow on Monday at 9 AM until time of funeral mass at 9:30 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313.
