When I first came into the family and stated dating my husband (Brad Moody) I was not sure what or if the family was going to like. But the first time I meet Leon (Dad) he was the most sincere and kind hearted man I have ever meet. His love for his wife, children, grandchildren, sister's, niece's, nephew's and many more was unconditional. He had the best smile and laughter which could make any day bright. He never wanted and never asked for but enjoyed the present of other's, and he never turned down a good party. The Best time of year that I looked so forward to was summer. Once memorial weekend came or sometimes before then his pool would be ready  for us to enjoy as well as himself. On those summer days he would sit in his lounge chair, bar bq up some very yummy food, but the best would be days that me. my husband (Brad) you just show up just because and he would be making his grilled potatoes and regardless if he knew I was showing up or not there would either be one there for me or he would say he has to much food and give me his potato. They where and will always be the best. Thank you Leon (Dad) for all the love and wonderful gifts you have given us to share with everyone as years go on and even with you passing you will and forever be in out hearts. We Love You

Sorry to hear of the Eggers Loss. We didn't receive notification until till this evening, We will keep Debbie and the other Family members in or Prayers during their time of Sorrow.

I worked at the same shop with Leon for several years, He always had a smile on his face when I would meet him .To the Family I would like to say He may be gone but He will never be forgotten, may the God of all comfort be with you in your time of sorrow.My prayer are with you.

I can remember when Rusty and I were outside in the middle of January back in 1966 about 10 degrees outside getting my 57 Chevy started. We were freezing our behinds off but we did get it started. He was always there if someone needed him or anything else to make someones life just a little bit easier. I will miss all of our talks when we we would get together about any subject we could think of. Sometimes we would agree and some times we wouldn't but we would always respect each others viewpoints. I will miss you Rusty and our talks. May God Bless You Brother and Rest in Peace until our next talks.

My brother -  what a wonderful man he was!!!  He was loved more than I think he ever realized.  One of my many memories of Rusty is how much he loved Christmas!!!  He was the "Clark Griswold" of the neighborhood and you could see his Christmas lights beaming in the sky!!!  He would work for weeks designing his little snow people and getting his decorations ready.  I remember our first Christmas Eve party with the whole family in our new home.  I can still picture Rusty standing in the street guiding his daughter to park in front of our house in the snow. We had a nice snowfall shortly before the party.  We had a blast that day!!!    He really loved his family.  They meant the world to him.  He was a very proud Husband, Dad and Grandpa and always did the best that he could for his family.  And he loved his animals and they surely loved him.   He was a very caring, thoughtful, loving man that will be greatly missed.   He was also the best brother and uncle ever and always had deep concern, love, care and support for us.    Your phone calls to me  always ended with "I love you".  I love you so very much too, Rusty!!!  I will never forget your last smile to me in the hospital after I blew you a kiss goodbye and told you I love you and  I'll see you again soon.    I was so very blessed to have you for my brother!!!   I love you and will miss you so very much!!!    Thanks for the many wonderful memories of our lives together!!!  You're the best!!! I would love to share a story or two, I have many. And thats because I lived just across the street. Leon, every one called him (Rusty) loved baseball, we played catch all the time. There was this one time we were going to make our mothers a gift, I think it was for mothers day. I put together a lounge, and Rusty had these drawings he mad up of a wishing well. Everything laid out on drafting paper. I think we worked on it all week. We kept everything in the shed at my house. It's easy to remember because I still have them. There was this time after playing a board game in the back yard, where I had dropped it in the pool, just hang on to me Rusty and I'll reach in. Well, that didn't work, in I went. Every time we told that story we had a laugh. Im lucky to say he was one of my best friends growing up.

My brother, Rusty, was a really GREAT husband to Debbie, father to Dawn, Tayna and Brad, grandfather, son, uncle and brother. He was never selfish in taking care of his family. He did a super great job of raising his kids and grandkids. He was very PROUD of his wife & family. He loved all animals!  Plus he had the best sense of humor and got me laughing when I was in the worst mood :) He was really into politics and we had many discussions.  Always taking care of the house and LOVED electronics! Oh, and that old Oldsmobile van he kept running all these years.  The best person ever.  Already miss him.  So at 1:00 p.m. on sunny days, even if its below freezing, think of him in the backyard barbequeing.

My Uncle Rusty and I shared a common interest when it came to electronics. I remember back about maybe 7-10 years ago when my Uncle Rusty and I were in his newly built back room checking out the new set-up. He brought up an article that was printed earlier in the week about Freedom Hill. The article was about the neighbor's surrounding Freedom Hill complaining that the concerts were too loud and they wanted either a curfew or a sound limit implemented.  Uncle Rusty turned and looked at me and said "They complain about that little noise coming from Freedom Hill, this room can drop more decibels than that place does. I feel bad form my neighbors." After that comment his signature laugh rang out. I will definitely miss his laugh.  â€œLove You Uncle Rustyâ€

My Uncle (Rusty as we all called him) was a very loving man.  He wore his heart on his sleeve.  He loved his music, and electronics/technology.  I remember a pic of me sitting in his room (when I was very little), playing with his records and headphones.  His laugh was contageous.
