Leona M. Stadler, age 92, of Roseville, Michigan passed away surrounded by loving family on March 25, 2022. She is the beloved wife of the late Eugene; Loving mother of Sandra Greco, Norma Bowron (Gary), Vicki Sanders (John), Ronald Stadler (Eileen), Valerie Cusumano (Sebastian), and Bonnie Chinoski (Richard); Treasured grandmother of 14; Cherished great-grandmother of 26; Dearest twin sister of LaVanna Schafer. Leona is preceded in death by son-in-law James T. Greco, grandchildren James P. Greco and Dawn M. Greco, and 5 of her siblings.
Leona leaves behind a vast legacy of love. She lived almost her entire life in Roseville. She was born at the home of her grandparents in Roseville, Michigan to parents John and Maggie Capps, the youngest of 7 children. She raised her own family in that very same house. Leona was truly the matriarch of her family, a woman who was meant to be a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend. She raised a family that multiplied to 62 family members (including spouses and step-grandchildren). She loved her family, loved God, and loved to laugh. Leona’s sense of humor was tremendous, even until the end. She was also a lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Roseville, and longtime member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 5-8 PM, and Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 2-8 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. The funeral service will follow on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 11 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church in Roseville, 18303 Common Road, Roseville, MI 48066. Final resting place, Cadillac Memorial Gardens in Clinton Township, MI.
