With love and sadness, we announce the passing of Leonard Raymond Stachnik, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, and friend, who passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, just two days after his 92nd birthday.
Born on September 16, 1933, Leonard lived a life marked by love, integrity, service, and strength. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and later built a distinguished career, retiring as Vice President of Lanzen, where he was admired for his leadership and dedication.
Leonard was married to the love of his life, Dolores, for 64 wonderful years, and together they built a life centered around faith, family, and unconditional love.
He was a devoted father to Peggy (Chuck) Smith, and Dave (Dawn) Stachnik. Leonard was a proud grandfather to Chelsea (Steve) Rhodey and Alexis (Kevin) Schwem. His love and legacy continue through his six great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Audrey, Leo, Louie Grace, Nathan, and Joshua.
Leonard was an avid golfer, and you could always find him on the golf course — rain or shine.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Dolores, his grandson Ian Madeleine, granddaughter Ciara Stachnik, his brothers, sister, and his parents. Though their absence was deeply felt, Leonard carried their memory with him always.
A visitation for Leonard will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 10:30 AM until time of funeral service at 1:30 PM Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
